There were 27 members and two guests present at the meeting of Winteringham W.I. was held on Thursday 17th January 2008 in the Village Hall. Matters Arising were dealt with and the correspondence received was read to the members

The treasurer gave a report and members were reminded that subs are due.

Mrs Joyce Bassingdale had agreed to come along to give members a taster session of Arm Chair Exercises. Joyce explained that she normally carried out sessions of exercises in care homes or with groups of elderly people.
The members soon found out that the exercises were enjoyable and fun. Joyce explained that no one should do any of the exercises which caused them pain.

At the end of the session everyone was well ready for a cup of tea and Joyce said that she thought there would be some stiff muscles in the morning. Mrs Christine Hammond gave a Vote of Thanks on behalf of the members.
 
The Mystery Parcels, given by Marianne and Yvonne Ogg, were won by Margaret Burton and Pam Wells.

Members were reminded that at the February Meeting Mr Steve Lock will be giving a Cookery Demonstration.
